You'd have to think they're in a great spot to draft Anthony Richardson and let him sit for 1 year before taking over. It doesn't bode well for AR's future when you consider the last QB McDaniels was in love with was another Florida guy Tim Tebow.

When Jimmy G. is healthy he has always done well. This seems like a high risk/high reward move for them. I could also see him being valuable trade bait if the team is only so-so. IMO he's worth the gamble.

Fair enough but always under Shanahan who had Purdy playing well, instrumental in Matt Ryan MVP year, always had legitimate talent and good defenses around him.

I just don't think he's that good but they didn't spend too much, maybe they draft a QB as well. He is also a walking injury and the sample size is pretty large on that at this point.

I'm a Jimmy fan and believe that if he was under center for the entire SF season, they would have been in the Super Bowl. With that, he is a bad fit for LV. If they draft Richardson, the move makes sense as a bridge. Otherwise, you might as well go to full rebuild mode and, why you're at it, bring back Gruden.

Why is he a bad fit if he’s good?

If he could stay under center for a team for a whole season, he would be another player basically.
